My journey does not end the moment I am crowned. Instead, I felt a worthy burden that I need to carry in shedding light to environmental causes. This is Khishi Soo, your Teen Earth International 2022.Growing up in the Philippines, where I am provided with a nature, rich in biodiversity and various tourist destinations, I acknowledge the importance of protecting the environment. Through my platform, I aim to educate and influence people on shifting to a more eco-friendly lifestyle… such as water and energy conservation, plastic waste reduction, and opting to use sustainable ideas.As a beauty queen and a fashion enthusiast, my heart goes to sustainable fashion. As it aims to achieve a carbon-neutral fashion industry while caring for the welfare of its workers, it is high time for us to recognize these efforts as a stepping stone towards environment preservation. This is why I strongly promote and advocate for The Musa Advocacy spearheaded by my mother which provides livelihood to the prisoners of the jail institutions and the indigenous community of my province Davao del Norte through hand weaving the fabrirc made of banana fiber called MUSA . Over 4.4 million banana stems are wasted every year, releasing carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. But instead of going into waste, these are used as the primary material of Musa Fabric. Being one of Musa’s models and designers, this is how I promote an ecological practice as an earth-advocate.Together, let’s go green!
